Mahlon's Button Buck

The boys went hunting this afternoon after school. Antlerless season is almost over. Mahlon got a button buck. He said he fell asleep. When he woke up he almost immediately saw this deer. He aimed and fired. It dropped in it's tracks. A perfect neck shot. That's the way I like to kill a deer; no suffering, no tracking, just a clean kill. Way to go Mahlon! I couldn't get a picture of it because Barbara took the camera with her to work (and we decided to skin it right away while it was still warm).

Now if Barbara could get one I would be very happy, but I don't think she will get to hunt any more this year, because of her work schedule.
